For so many years, I did ๐˜ข๐˜ญ๐˜ญ the things. โฃ

Meditation, therapy, biohacks, wellness protocolsโ€”thinking that if I just found the right tool, Iโ€™d stop feeling like something was wrong with me.โฃ

That maybe one day, Iโ€™d stop being so sensitive. โฃ

So easily overwhelmed. โฃ

So challenged by speaking my mind, when others seemed to do so effortlessly. โฃ

What changed everything?โฃ

Realising the challenge was that I was trying so hard not to be human.โฃ

In a culture that celebrates positivity, productivity, and independence, itโ€™s easy to internalise the belief that certain feelings mean somethingโ€™s wrong with us. โฃ

That we should move on, bounce back, or โ€œ๐˜ซ๐˜ถ๐˜ด๐˜ต ๐˜ญ๐˜ฆ๐˜ต ๐˜ช๐˜ต ๐˜จ๐˜ฐโ€ faster than we actually can.โฃ

What makes an experience feel harder isnโ€™t the emotion itself, itโ€™s the story weโ€™ve learned to tell ourselves about it.โฃ

That story can sound like:โฃ
